A Quarter of the Way through...

Can you believe it... Its so sad, time is going so quickly for us.... We're a quarter of the way through our amazing experience...

Many things have taken place since our last blog.

For starters we've been majorly sick... We think it was a cold, then a tummy bug and then the worst flu we have ever experienced. It even makes your hair follicles hurt - No Joke!!!... It took us out for a couple of weeks, in bed resting not being able to move or do much...  Since Jeremy recuperated faster than me, we came up with a way for me not to miss out on too many meetings... I was able to listen to the meetings via skype, Jeremy would call me at the meeting and I would get at least half of it until his phone ran out of battery...  Technology! We're finally starting to get better, though we're not back to 100% we're able to go back out in the field... Our poor studies, thought we had abandoned them...

Talking about studies... it's been so nice to see them progress, though having their own issues, they seem to be taking hold of the truth, its amazing to see... One of the couples we study with had a problem with the health of their little 3 year old girl, she had to get her tonsils removed and had to have her nose realigned so she could breath better.  Operations like these are very expensive for people here, they were so worried and didn't know how they were going to get through.  Happily their family helped them out with the expense and her operations went well and she's much better now.  When all this came to pass, they spoke to Jeremy about their desire to be in the ministry school... remember this is a couple that has only been studying for no more than 6 months... and they have already started to talk about going out witnessing.... They're so eager to learn that they volunteered to come to our place to do the study, since it is difficult for me to leave home in the evenings because I have to work.

Another couple we study with, (our neighbors) have had a few family issues of their own, they got to a point where they considered separating, one morning while we were still sick we went out to a study but ended up coming back home cause of the flu and study not being available, we thought it may be nice to leave the Feb mags with them before we reached our door.  To our surprise she had been waiting for us to come back home because she needed to talk us about what was going on.  As sick as we felt, the pain went out the window! We immideately showed her bible principles and the BH book chp on family happiness.  We asked her to read it and to get her husband to read it as it gives a lot of advice for married couples, we also encouraged her to come to meetings and she said she would talk to her husband about it.  A few days later she knocked on our door and asked the day and times the meetings were on because they wanted to start coming.  She mentioned they had both read the information and love it and realised they needed to start coming to the meetings.  We hope they keep their word and come to their first meeting on Saturday....

A lady I study the Good News Brochure with is soaking up what she's learning.  Its an amazing thing to experience and see how bible truths opens up their eyes, right in front of you.  Whenever she learns a new point, she looks at me, takes a couple of seconds to process it and then looks away in amazement of what the bible teaches us about Jehovah, Jesus, the Ransom, the Kingdom, its all new information to her, the look in her eyes when she has understood these bible truths... is one I can't describe...

We're so thankful that Jehovah allows us to take part in this bible teaching program, people are thirsty and searching for the truth, when they feel they've found it and you get to take part in it, it's such a joyful experience, there's nothing else in this world that could give you the same satisfaction and joy....

The last couple of weeks we've been a bit tight with our finances due to some circumstances outside our control, we were getting really worried about how we were going to buy food and petrol, but the Watchtower study from a couple of weeks ago, really encouraged us, it spoke about success in life and what it means.  It gave the example of Paul and how at times he had no where to sleep or eat or even drink, but what made Paul successful was his service to Jehovah.  It encouraged us, reminding us that while we don't have much in the fridge, the fruits from our service to Jehovah are many and spiritually we're rich... but Jehovah always provides and though we've experience his generous hand many times, it doesn't cease to amaze us. When we were most at need, a wonderful older couple from our Cong gave us a monetary gift which we were able to buy some food with... It brought tears to my eyes to experience their generosity, from the little they had they shared with us... how wonderful is our brotherhood, where else could we find a family like the one we have... Again, how thankful we are to Jehovah for our brotherhood and his loving kindness towards us... He has never left us..!

We encourage who ever is in a position to be able to come and experience it for themselves, do it, do it now, you will never regret it, through the good times, through the hard times...the blessings that we have received are so many,  no matter how much we try to describe them, we will never do them justice.
