Improvements to our Kingdom Hall...

Yes, that is right, it's only taken a year but we're finally starting to get BH books and good news brochures, even bibles coming in to our hall..... YEAH! I have been conducting bible studies with only my personal copies of the bible teach and good news brochure.. I have even finished one study with the good news brochure and she was never able to get her own copy... At least she'll have her own BH book to prepare...

We also have new microphones.... And they're cordless......aha! Cordless! Our old mics had lots of issues, the wires were constantly breaking and the sound they gave out was very echoey... So we are happy to have news mics.. The brothers have also added a babies change table for all the babies in our Cong. It's a simple design and the only place it could go in was the ladies bathroom but at least the babies won't go for hours without being changed. Many of the babies were starting to get nappy rash because of it, so all the mothers with babies are very grateful for the provision.

Our congregation will be hosting the next pioneer school so our brothers are busy gearing up for it. We have a new white board and the Kingdom Hall is looking better and better over time as things are slowly getting done - next to be organized properly is the small cleaning room. Will post some photos  of the before and after shots once everything is done.

Juan

One of Jeremy's study Juan had his first bible reading last night.  We were so happy for Juan, he has been making a real effort to qualify for the school again.  It wasn't easy for him but we were happy to welcome him back to the school after years of not having a talk.  His family was so proud of him, especially his wife and daughter who are already baptized.

We went to an English meeting last weekend... Finally!  It was so nice to hear the meeting in English, specially the watchtower.  I had forgotten how much I'd missed it... Funny enough my palms got all sweaty and I got all nervous when I made a short comment during the watchtower.... I felt like I was going to forget how to speak English at any moment...hahaha... We've been concentrating so hard in perfecting our spiritual Spanish that making the switch to English wasn't easy...

The congregation has 40 publishers but there would have been more than 60 at the meeting.. Many visitors on holidays.... We met a nice English couple, they've been here 3 months.  We had them over for dinner and found out we have a lot in common with our English brothers, even some of the jokes were similar, and they understood our accent much better than anyone else does...hahaha...  They really awakened our desire to visit England.  They spoke to us about the British Museum and the witness tours available. There's 12 different ones and they all sound amazing!!  Maybe one day??

As we are going away for the English assembly soon we are having to organize our drivers licenses as our year long international licenses will expire shortly - after all it has been almost a year now since we arrived! Hopefully the process will be much less taxing compared to everything else we have had to do.. The bonus is we can legally drive like the Ecuadorians do... License to thrill coming up!

Soon we will hopefully have the public witnessing program up and running within our territory at the bus terminal but we still have to wait on the branch to let us know if we are caring for it or they are, it has a lot of people coming thru it daily and heaps of brothers and sisters from surrounding congregations preach there too on a daily basis.

We have been very well, no health issues.... Trying to finish our service year a few weeks ahead to take a break and so far are well on track...

We hope everyone is well, keep in touch...
